Plywood Presents Conference 2015
This week, representatives of MVPS and MVIFI traveled to downtown Atlanta for the Plywood Presents Conference 2015 at the Tabernacle. Excited to spend time with colleagues and experience a fun, new event, I’ll confess I didn’t know a lot about Plywood People before arriving. They seek to make Atlanta known as a center for social innovation.
The conference was great for many reasons. Here are 5 cool things about Plywood this year…
- Being inspired by local innovators and world class speakers.
- Sharing ideas and spending time with great colleagues.
- Reconnecting with old friends.
- Meeting artists, vendors, and entrepreneurs.
- Connecting the spirit of Plywood People to the learning experiences we design for our students.
Plywood Presents was a truly inspiring event. I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in making an impact while having fun designing and solving problems.
I even met a guy who uses the DJI Phantom 2 drone to take aerial photos. Check out @aerialathens
