Mama’s Cranberry Crisp

Mama's Cranberry Crisp

Mama’s Cranberry Crisp

We all have Thanksgiving traditions. My tradition revolves around 3 recipes. I have one ‘sweet’ dish from each of my Grandmothers and a turkey recipe from a good friend that never fails. I have very fond memories of being at each of my grandmother’s houses while growing up at Thanksgiving time. For many years now, I have made these dishes as a way to celebrate and remember both of my dear grandmothers. Today, I’d like to share a ‘secret’ family recipe with you. I hope you’ll try it this season. Your guests will be thankful. And mention my grandmother’s memory when you do.

It’s more art than science, as cooking should be in my opinion.

Mama’s Cranberry Crisp Recipe

My Grandmother (Mama) and me, sometime between 1976-1977 in Atlanta, GA. I didn’t actually eat the cranberry crips until much later. 🙂
